Fire & Story is a collaborative animation project created with my classmates Abby Sheets and Isabella Doughty for the Fire & Story Festival, where our entire class’s animations were projected onto water towers, creating a captivating visual experience.
As a team, we approached the project with a balanced and organized workflow. We started by collaborating on the moodboard and color palette, establishing a cohesive aesthetic that guided our creative direction. From there, we divided the work evenly, each of us taking responsibility for creating three distinct scenes for the animation.
Once the individual scenes were completed, we seamlessly combined them to form the final animation, enhancing it with sound to create an engaging and polished piece. The project was a true team effort, blending our unique styles into a cohesive, imaginative narrative.
Below are GIFs of the three animations I created for the final Fire & Story animation.
Below are the style frames I created for the Fire & Story animation, showcasing my individual contribution to the collaborative project. Each frame reflects the established mood, color palette, and aesthetic direction, while also demonstrating my personal approach to storytelling and visual design.

After completing our animation, our class had the exciting opportunity to attend the Fire & Story Festival in Downtown Bellingham. We watched as our animations were projected onto water towers, transforming them into dynamic canvases of light and storytelling. Seeing our collaborative work come to life on such a large scale was a truly memorable experience that highlighted the power of creativity and teamwork.
